What to Look for in a sample DVD

1. Quality. The first impression is important - do you like the look of the cover and label design? Did you receive an old worn out looking DVD or fresh new one? Do you like the menu design? .Are the photos blurry because it was taken from the video or sharp and clear because they have used the Photographer’s portraits.
Still pictures taken from a video camera (even a HDV camera) are only 72dpi, which is only good for the web. The recommended image quality for printing is 300dpi, which must come form a proper still camera.

2. Style. Is the videographers style Classic and Romantic, cheesy, MTV style… you have to know exactly what you like. The sample in your hand is a sample of your videographer’s best shooting and editing style. If you don’t like what you see, it’s better to find another videographer that will shoot the video you want.

3. Sound. Try to ask for a sample DVD that is similar to the setting for your own wedding. Is your wedding in an old church, modern church, by the water, in the garden or on a boat? Listen how the sound was recorded, are they clear or do you have to ask everyone in the room to be quiet so you can have a better idea what was being said. There is nothing more disappointing than having paid good money for a wedding video and in the end you can’t hear your important vows and speeches clearly.

Real-Time

With this style of wedding videography, the camera will begin running as soon as the guests start filtering into the church, continuing to run until the wedding reception is complete. The final product is a straightforward video that has no editing, not stops, and no interruptions. Since just one camera is used for this style, if you are on a budget but want to have your wedding videotaped, this may be your best option.

Nostalgia

With this style, your wedding video would begin with photographs of the bride and groom as they were when small children. From there, it might show a photo slideshow with couple of high school and college photographs, and progress to the beginning of the relationship, showing special moments the couple shared while dating. From there, the wedding video goes into scenes from the wedding ceremony, reception, and most often will end with shots taken from the couple’s honeymoon.

Are you insured?——– We are fully insured, most are not so ask do to some location require it.
Who exactly will be shooting my wedding?————The owner of Lynchburg Paul.
What type of equipment will you be using to video my wedding?——The same cameras we use to shoot TV shows and news.
How many cameras do you use to video a wedding?——We like to use 2 but it is the customer’s choice.
What type of microphone do you use?—–Wireless and on camera during the Ceremony and then just on camera during the reception.
How many hours of coverage do you provide?—-Our standard package covers 2 hours before the ceremony to the end of the night with no time limit.
Do you include editing, music and titles in your quoted price?—-Yes, Our price is complete no hidden costs.
Can I buy the unedited master DVD?—–It is available if you wish to have a copy.
How much do additional DVD’s cost?——We provideo 3 with every package but copies only cost $5.00 each if needed.
What exactly will the final DVD look like?—-Your DVD will look a lot like our wedding demo.
When will I receive my final DVD?—— We try for a month turn around but may take 2 - 3 during the peak season.
Do you charge for mileage between the wedding and reception sites?—–No
Are there any other extra charges that might be added?—-NO!!! It is all written out in our contract for you to review.
Do you bring back-up equipment in case of a problem?—All equipment has a back-up, camera to audio.
Will you need any special lighting or electrical outlets?—NO, We are use to working self-supported.
